Lions activates WR Kalif Raymond from the reserve / COVID-19 list

The Detroit Lions have only one game left in their losing season. It looks like they could get one of their better offensive weapons back for their Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday.

Raymond is in his first season with the Lions, after splitting his first four NFL seasons between the Denver Broncos, New York Giants, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. The 27-year-old had spent most of his time on the field as kickoff and point-return before 2021, compiling 53 kick-backs for 1,086 yards and 77 point-backs for 699 yards in 50 career games.

Raymond has not served as a kickoff return this season and has brought back 21 points for a career-high 236 yards. In 15 games this season, he has started a career-high 13, while also crushing his previous career-best marks in goals (66), receptions (44), receiving yards (475) and receiving touchdowns (three).

He is number two on the team in touchdown receptions, third in receiving yards and fourth in goals and receptions. The Lions host the Green Bay Packers at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday.
