Environment and climate change On Friday, Canada issued a special weather forecast for heavy rain.
VANCOUVER, BC: Thursday, September 16th.Today’s weather is expected to start sunny, with rising cloudy in the late afternoon and high at 19, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. The agency has also issued a special weather statement to say heavy rain is on its way to Metro Vancouver on Friday, with up to 50 millimeters expected.
The heaviest rain is expected in the Howe Sound and North Shore mountains from Friday morning to evening. The agency says strong winds are also possible Friday afternoon and evening, and recommends residents clear leaves and dirt from drainage areas, as the heavy rains could cause local flooding.
On Saturday there is a mixture of sun and cloud in the weather forecast, with the possibility of showers and altitude of 16 C followed by rain overnight. Then Sunday looks cloudy, with a good chance of showers and a maximum of 14 C. Expect the same again on Monday and Tuesday, however with slightly higher temperatures of 16 C and 17 C. respectively.
