‘The reason Ole wants him’ – Manchester United fans make transfer declaration after Declan Rice goal

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice delivered a brilliant performance on the team’s return to European competition on Thursday.

The Hammers were 2-0 winners over Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League, with Michail Antonio and Rice equalizing both sides of the half to David Moyes’ side.

Rice’s goal was particularly impressive as he picked up the ball from a deep position and drove forward into the penalty area to score.

It was the kind of goals and all-round performances that have attracted interest from Manchester United as the Red Devils seem to be stopping the hole at the bottom of their midfield. THE MEN understand that Rice is the Red Devils’ favorite defensive midfield goal.

With that in mind, it was no surprise that United fans kept a close eye on the English national team’s performance on Thursday night, and they liked what they saw from the 22-year-old.

@MerlinUnited: “Some people think Declan Rice is a DM because he’s at FIFA. In fact, he’s a box to box for West Ham and England. The reason Ole wants him.”

@mufc_nath: “Declan Rice, who’s classmate.”

@kushmufc: “Declan rice saw what Ronaldo’s goal on the loop looks like.”

@everything_utd: “The sooner United get a deal done for Rice, the better. His value will only continue to rise and he is exactly what United need. He goes to the top.”

@UtdDanMUFC: “It’s really confusing to me how some people still don’t rate Declan Rice. Whether you want him at United or not, it’s irrelevant I’m talking about his quality. The guy is pure class.”

@MUFCBilly_: “Declan Rice is really destined for United.”

@ DeanCla65257372: “Declan Rice, what a player. Should have paid the money #MUFC, I’m sure we would be 2 points better in the league and 3 points in the UCL.”

@ EverydayUnited2: “The goal is not the point. To win the ball, run from midfield, push his team off the field. Leadership in a crucial European game. We need Declan rice in midfield. @ManUtd signs him up.”

Rice has now established himself as not only one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, but a solid man in England XI.

He would represent an exciting signing for United in a position that fans are still worried about. So far, none of Fred, Scott McTominay or Nemanja Matic have done enough to suggest they can be an effective and consistently holding midfielder.

Rice goes up against United on Sunday when West Ham welcome the Red Devils to London Stadium.
