Dreamchasers Rejoice: Meek Mill has just unveiled cover art and release date for his highly anticipated fifth studio album Expensive pain, will be released on Friday, October 1st.
The album cover is based on an original painting by renowned artist Nina Chanel Abney.
Meek also took to Instagram up to the post to share a video of the artwork coming together.
Expensive pain becomes Meek Mill’s first full-length offering since dropping his fourth studio album Championships back in 2018. One gave Meek his second Billboard 200 No. 1 debut and was also nominated for best rap album at Grammys 2020. This latest work is to include previously released singles “Sharing Locations” with Lil Durk and Lil Baby as well as “Blue Notes 2 “with Lil Uzi Vert. Both singles came with live music videos that matched the energy of the track. “Blue Notes 2” is also the sequel to Meeks 2016 track “Blue Notes” from his acclaimed mixtape DC4.
Meek Mill has been on a tear the last few months. In addition to dropping these singles, the Philly natives have released a bunch of freestyles, were honored with the Nelson Mandela Changemaker Award by PTTOW (Plan to Take on the World) and still deliver some of the best rappers of 2021 with his version of Drake’s Lemon Pepper Freestyle. ” All of this has just been a prelude to a project that will surely satisfy the hunger of his fanbases.
Expensive Pain can be pre-ordered here and will be released on Friday, October 1st.
