Navigating obstacles sounds hard enough for a self-driving bike, but standing on your own really required some clever technique. More specifically, a custom disk-style control module connected to precision sensors that allows you to sense when the 3D-printed frame begins to tilt. If it starts to tilt, the bike automatically starts making small movements to balance itself and stay upright. Everything is controlled with a Huawei Ascend 310, a programmable AI processor capable of delivering 22 teraflops @ INT8 and 11 teraflops @ FP16 with just 8W power consumption.
