Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has said on Pro-Direct Soccer that he grew up as a Manchester United fan.

Son has said he was a fan of United who grew up because of Park Ji-sung.

Park was on the books at United from 2005 to 2012, winning the Premier League title on four occasions and the Champions League once.

Son – who according to The Guardian cost Spurs £ 22 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2015, has said he became a United fan because of his South Korean compatriot Park.

However, the 29-year-old South Korean international has said he cannot support the Red Devils now.

Son said of Pro-Direct Soccer: “Manchester United because Ji-Sung obviously played. He is a national hero. ”

The Tottenham star added: “He was the first to play in the Premier League, so I supported United, but I can not now.”

Great player for Tottenham Hotspur

Son is one of the best attacking players in the Premier League and is a key figure in the Spurs.

The 29-year-old scores goals and creates chances for his teammates.

Tottenham No. 7 have scored two goals in three Premier League matches so far this season.

Son scored 17 goals and gave 10 assists in the league last season and scored 11 goals and gave 10 assists in the league in 2019-20.
