Supergirl promo sees Diggle Encourage National City’s new guardian

John Diggle guest stars, while Kelly Olsen takes the Guardian cloak in a promo for next week’s Supergirl episode, “Blind Spots.”

David Ramsey’s John Diggle guest stars and Azie Tesfai’s Kelly Olsen take up the Guardian identity in a campaign for next week’s Black Lives Matter-inspired episode of Super girl, “Blind angles.” The episode was directed by Ramsey, with Tesfai acting as co-author.

As the commercial begins, Kelly tells Crying Diggle that she “looks at people suffering, people who look like [her], “while she, Orlando Davis and Joey Davis are standing in the middle of the rubble in the Ormfell building. Diggle then asks Kelly,” What do you want to do? “

Towards the end of the commercial, Kelly replies that she’s going to “fight this fight”, which is followed by a glimpse of Kelly in her Guardian costume. The promo ends with Kelly telling someone, “You’re not going to hurt this city anymore,” just before she and the rest of Super Friends are hit by an energy wave.

The full, official synopsis of “Blind Spots” reads as follows:

Kelly (Azie Tesfai) is horrified as the Ormfell building implodes and harms many in the community, including Joey (guest star Aiden Stoxx). However, her horror quickly turns to frustration as she realizes that the hospital is overwhelmed, people get sicker, and no one comes to help – including Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), who is busy fighting Nyxly (Peta Sergeant). Knowing she can make a difference, Kelly embraces her power and fully steps into her role as guardian. Together with Supergirl, Alex (Chyler Leigh), Diggle (guest star David Ramsey) and team, the Guardian is leading the way to restore justice to the fallen community.

Super girl sent on Tuesdays at 21 on the CW.
