ICC Test Rankings | KL Rahul wins 18 places in batting charts, Jasprit Bumrah enters the top 10

The Indian opener, KL Rahul, has achieved an 18-slot win and reached 31st position in the latest ICC Men’s Test Ranking, after his Man of the Match effort in Centurion against South Africa. The Indian speedster, Jasprit Bumrah, has moved up three places and achieved the ninth place on the bowler’s list.

India stand-in captain for the ongoing Johanessberg Test, KL Rahul received 18 seats most recently ICC Test placements, and currently has the 31st place on the batting lists. The right-handed batsman has consistently scored runs in recent matches, and his bubbly 123-run bank in Centurion helped Team India defeat South Africa by 113 runs.

Mayank Agarwal, who scored 60 runs and sewed a crucial 117 runs in the first round along with Rahul, moved up to 11th place. On the other hand, Team India Test captain Virat Kohli has dropped a few places to ninth.

The tempo duo off Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami are the other Indians who have improved their rankings. Bumrah has jumped up three spots to finish in ninth place after finishing with five wickets in the Centurion Test. Shami’s eight wickets in the series opener, including the five in the first innings, helped the speedster move up two places to 17th place.

South Africa’s Test captain Dean Elgar rose to 14th after his sensible bank of 77 in the second round of the series opener in Centurion against India. South Africa’s middle-order batsman, Temba Bavuma, has achieved 16 places to be ranked 39th in the batting lists after his brilliant performance with the bat in the Boxing Day Test.

The South African speedster, Kagiso Rabada, moved up one place to be ranked sixth on the bowler’s list, while his colleague, Lungi Ngidi, rose 16 places and currently has 30th place after finishing with eight wickets in the first test against India. Marco Jansen, who played his debut Test match for Proteas during the series opener against India, entered the bowling lists and is ranked 97th on the list.
